چکیده

Abstract Background Indeterminate pulmonary nodules (IPNs) are common after surgery for esophageal cancer. The paucity of data on postoperative IPNs cancer causes a clinical dilemma. Objective aim this study was to identify the characteristics and significance radical esophagectomy metastatic determine risk factors metastasis construct score model standardize appropriate time either follow up or treat patient. Methods All consecutive patients with squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) who underwent between 2013 2016 were included in retrospective study. Univariate multivariate logistic regression analyses performed independent develop models. Results A total 816 enrolled During median follow-up period 45 months, detected 221 (27.1%) patients, whom 66 (29.9%) diagnosed metastases. following five variables maintained prognostic analyses: pathologic N category, number IPNs, shape detection size IPNs. Pulmonary Metastasis Prediction Model (PMPM) scale ranges from 0 15 points higher scores have probability After validated, PMPM showed good discrimination an AUC 0.939. Conclusion ESCC may be clinically useful diagnostic therapeutic decision-making.
